Ann Hawpe started with Herren in 2003 and currently provides Cost Estimating and Analysis support to Navy programs. She leads Herren’s Program Analysis and Cost Engineering team and advises on multiple, complex cost estimating and research projects. She has experience across five major Department of Navy Programs (PEO SHIPS, PEO SUBS, PEO EIS, PEO IWS, and NAVSEA 05C) and the Naval Center for Cost Analysis, requiring her to work with senior military officers in managing program issues. She has supported the Navy in the areas of Production Planning and Engineering, Program and Project Management, Cost Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Acquisition Management. She is a Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst, PMP, and LSS Green Belt. Ann uses her knowledge of Cost Analysis and Lean Six Sigma to identify areas of cost savings through process improvements and implements these changes to achieve efficient business processes.
Ann earned her BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and MS in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering from George Washington University. Ann also serves as the Programs Chair on the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association Washington Area Chapter Board of Directors, planning monthly luncheons and other events for the DC Cost Community.
In her free time, Ann enjoys yoga, barre, and spending time on the beach with her husband, two children, and a black Labrador.
