Ben Jaskiewicz

Ben Jaskiewicz is a Lead Associate at Herren Associates with over 10 years of experience across DoD and Federal organizations. Drawing on his extensive background in program management, business and financial analysis, information technology and cybersecurity, he has a track record of success in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of systems and processes within organizations, initiating strategic IT capabilities, and building the teams necessary to deliver effective client solutions. He currently supports the PMS 460 DDG(X) program office responsible for the planning, technology development, design, systems selection and construction planning for the Navy’s next generation of Guided Missile Destroyers.

Prior to supporting PMS 460, he supported the PMS 320 Electric Ships Office, the Naval Center for Cost Analysis, the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Cost and Economics, and the Government Accountability Office.

Ben earned his BA in Economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and holds PMP and Security+ certifications. He lives in Aldie, VA and enjoys traveling with his wife, young daughter, and dog.

Max Watstein is a Lead Associate at Herren Associates overseeing the Cost Estimating competency. Max has over 13 years of cost estimating experience supporting the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, JPEO-CBD, and DAU. He currently splits his time serving as the deputy program manager for the NAVSEA 05C Cost Engineering contract and developing cost estimating curriculum for DAU as a Subject Matter Expert. With a wealth of cost estimating knowledge, Max promotes best practices across Herren Associates by providing both formal training and personalized mentorship to junior, mid-level, and senior employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Max is a Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.  Max lives in Falls Church with his wife, two children, and two dogs. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing ice hockey, golf, and cooking for his friends and family.

Scott Crews, CAPT, USNR (Ret.), is an experienced executive who has extensive program management, financial management, and technical business operations experience. He has a demonstrated track record of successfully managing technical projects to meet all cost, schedule, and performance objectives.

Scott retired from the U.S. Navy in June 2019 concluding a 30-year career as a Surface Warfare Officer and Information Officer. His tours included: USS Briscoe (DD 977), USS Kidd (DDG 993), the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) and regional and national naval intelligence staffs. He served multiple Commanding Officer tours at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM).

His degrees include: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University; Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a Master’s in Business Administration in Management from Johns Hopkins University. His professional certifications include: Professional Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Manager.

Alan Crews serves as the Human Resources and Recruiting Manager for Herren Associates, and draws upon 10 years of talent acquisition and human capital experience within the Public Sector as he leads the firm’s recruitment strategies and HR initiatives, with an emphasis on employee engagement, retention and wellbeing. His professional background includes work at organizations of myriad sizes, from an 8(a) firm to the big four, and prior to joining Herren Associates he specialized in the recruitment of Cyber Security professionals throughout DoD and Intel portfolios. Alan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English & History from East Carolina University and is SHRM-SCP certified.
